Directing and Consultations

It can be difficult to bring Sunday morning dramas and holiday productions to life. If you’d like your church productions to stand out, or if you’d just like help in getting consistent and believable performances out of your volunteers, consider bringing in a professional director for a specific project or just for a consultation.

Short Play Direction
5-15 minutes
$300 (plus travel, food, and lodging expenses)
For short play and Sunday morning drama direction, you will receive three two-hour rehearsals. There will be additional fees for any rehearsals beyond the initial three rehearsals.

One Act Play Direction
20-45 minutes
$1,000 (plus travel, food, and lodging expenses)
For one act play direction, you will receive ten two-hour rehearsals, as well as two technical/dress rehearsals and two planning sessions. There will be additional fees for any rehearsals or planning sessions beyond the initial twelve rehearsals and two planning sessions.

Full Length Play Direction
60-120 minutes
$2,500 (plus travel, food, and lodging expenses)
For full length play direction, you will receive twenty two-hour rehearsals, as well as four technical/dress rehearsals and five planning sessions. There will be additional fees for any rehearsals or planning sessions beyond the initial twenty-four rehearsals and five planning sessions.

One-Day Consultation
$500 (plus travel, food, and lodging expenses)
A one-day consultation is ideal for evaluating drama team rehearsals, or dress rehearsals of a larger production. A one-day consultation will include help in fixing blocking and staging issues and working with performers. At the end of the consultation, you will receive a quick list of your program or production’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as a list of recommendations moving forward.

Weekend Consultation
$1,000 (plus travel, food, and lodging expenses)
A weekend consultation is best for evaluating your church or organization’s entire drama ministry. Drama team meetings and rehearsals will be observed. A weekend consultation will provide you with additional exercises to use during drama team meetings and will include help in fixing blocking and staging issues and working with performers. At the end of the consultation, you will receive a report on your program’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as a list of recommendations moving forward.
