The Flood
By Josh Hornbeck
Following God is rarely easy, especially when he asks you to do something that seems outrageous at the time.
The Flood is a modern retelling of the story of Noah’s ark. Noah is a contractor developing high-priced condominiums when Yahweh tells him to stop everything and begin building an ark to save his family from the flood. With questions from his sons and his wife, along with the outright derision of his neighbors, Noah still follows God and does what he is asked to do.
Blending scripture with dramatic narrative, utilizing pop culture references and a Greek chorus, The Flood reminds us that, while it may not be easy to follow God, it is only through doing so that we can find salvation.
