Let's Make a Truce, You and I
By Josh Hornbeck
Let’s make a truce, you and I
I’m tired of fighting
Even though I hate you-
Your stringy hair and cruel nose,
Your pudgy chin and narrow eyes
-Still I’d like to make peace...
If just for a while.
Let’s make a truce, you and I
I’m willing to leave the past behind
Let bygones be bygones
Who cares if you slept with my wife
And stole my job-
I’m ready to move on...
For now.
Let’s make a truce, you and I
I know that we’ve never been close
Of course, there are reasons for that,
After all, you’re an elitist snob
And a lying, backstabbing fiend,
But still I think a truce is called for...
Until you screw me over again.
Let’s make a truce, you and I
We have much bigger fish to fry
Than each other.
Albert, over in accounting,
Wants to have us both fired,
So let’s unite our energies...
At least until Albert is gone.
Let’s make a truce, you and I...
